TEH: NOWCASTING

University Art Gallery, The University of the South, 735 University Ave., Sewanee, TN 37383

installation dates: October 9 – November 22, 2009

artist talk: October 23 (details soon)

TEH is a common typographical error and refers to a collaborative art and technology group with interests in displaced communication and simulation. TEH is currently considering conditions of weather/atmosphere and how this relates to the site/history of space/geography/culture. Our research involves visual and interactive simulation and uses portable climate control (air flow/fans), television/radio forecasts (audio/visual), game technologies, processing based interactive video projection, and other media. The pieces used in our projects/installations challenge the senses through the use of technology, and present weather/environment through mediated, virtual and physical processes.

TEH involves Phillip Andrew Lewis, Adam Trowbridge, and Jessica Westbrook.
